CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE
From Mr. Ricardo Sasaki, Brazil
Dear Sir/ Madam
Though the number of Buddhists in Brazil are relatively small when compared to Asian countries, our numbers are steadily growing and I firmly believe that everyone is very happy to see the holy Vesak being celebrated worldwide and that especially Vietnam was chosen to be the host of the 11th United Nations Day of Vesak (UNDV) and of the International Buddhist Conference of United Nations Day of Vesak 2014. We are deeply honoured to be able to be present at this occasion, certain that Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and the kind people of Vietnam will only brighten even more such holy day.
In 2008 we were blessed to be at Vietnam on the occasion of the United Nations Day of Vesak, participate at the International Conference and climb the Sacred Mountain of Yen Tu. The whole trip, as planned by the organizers, was a Dharma Joy. Not only that, but I believe it was able to fulfill one of the main objectives of fostering co-operation among Buddhist communities and institutions. Through your kind help Buddhist communities and representatives, teachers and scholars were able to connect, share and prepare for further collaboration for the advancement of the Buddha Dharma around the world.
It is our sincere wish that once more the event in Vietnam will be a success and a joy. May all beings share the merit produced by the efforts of the organizers and support teams.
Yours sincerely in the Dharma,
Ricardo Sasaki
