CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE
From Litoshyn Igor, Ukraine

Dear Venerable Sangha and Dhamma friends,
I am honored to represent the Ukraine as a delegate at the United Nations Day of Vesak Celebrations & Buddhist Conference.
Each step in history brings new challenges for the humanity and encourages rapid changes and cardinally new approaches in different aspects of life. All these external images of new format time period proves once and again the truly important wisdom of internal harmony and global balance – the thing which really matters. And more and more people start to admit it thus putting their efforts in taking care about nature and future generations. That’s why on the behalf of Ukraine Buddist Education Fellowship let me express my gratitude to the organizers of the Conference who brought in focus such a crucial theme as “Buddhist Contribution to Achieve the UN Millennium Development Goals”. Indeed Buddha Dhamma has a lot to offer to the world today because Buddhism is a teaching both for meditative monks and for ordinary people. Furthermore, Buddhist values and practice are not limited to a certain culture, or geographical location, they are universal and can be easily implemented in any society. As a lay follower of Buddha Dhamma I am certain that Buddhist teachings are capable of making positive changes in life of individuals, group of individuals practicing Dhamma and, therefore, influence some aspects of the whole society. This event will definitely contribute to this cause. There are many schools in Buddhism, all of them may have their own unique doctrines, but this fact as well as distance does not make them indifferent to issues some of them may face. Hence the great contribution of the conference to the spreading of Buddha Dhamma in the world is absolutely obvious.
I express my deep respect and gratitude to everybody joined the conference and in particular to Venerable monks, organizers and people of Vietnam for their hospitality and devotion to Buddha Dharma.
May all beings be happy and well!

                                                                         Your sincerely in the Dhamma,

                                                                                          Litoshyn Igor,
