Am honoured and delighted to attend the 11th UN Day of Vesak Celebrations and Conference in Vietnam 201.4. This event celebrates the Birth, Englightment and Passing Away of Lord Gautama Buddha. Buddhism is an important aspect of the shared heritage between India and Vietnam that has liked our two people for centuries. Lord Buddha’s mission in life was to alleviate human suffering, poverty and ignorance. I am confident that the Vesak Celebrations organised by the National Vietnam Buddhist Sangha will spread Lord Buddha’s message of peace, harmony and compassion for future generations.
I Wish the National Vietnam Buddhist Sangha all success in organising the Conference and the Vesak Celebrations.
