It is with great pleasure that I send this message on the occasion of United Nations Day of Vesak Celebrations and the Conference 2014 held in VietNam.
This event in Vietnam will definitely be a great occasion for Buddhists as well as non Buddhist to realize the greatness of Buddhism.
As we all know the three great events in the life of Lord Gautama Buddha, the birth, Enlightment and passing away, took place in the nature or natural
environment, not inside a palace or mansion. There is plenty of evidence in Buddhist Literature to show how much He loved nature. So it is of utmost
importance to emphasis on Global warming and environment protection at this Conference.
I am sure the five day Celebrations and the Conference will be a glorious and successful event I wish this program me all success.
