On the occasion of the 11th United Nations Day of Holy Vesak Celebrations 2014 in Vietnam, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran has the honor to joyfully express its most profound and cordial congratulations to the International Buddhist Community. Definitely, Vesak is such a significant and meaningful event for all Buddhists and its followers over the world, including Vietnam, who are seeking for Enlightenment and Nirvana.
We would also like to express our sincere respect to such a Great Man Siddhartha Gautama Buddha, who found the way of releasing human beings from pain and suffering. The reason leading us to join such an important ceremony is to share happiness and pride with the International Buddhist Community, although we come from a different religion and culture.
The essence of all divine religions and human sublime rituals is nothing but to achieve peace, friendship and human development in this world and avoid violence and hostility.
At the end, we extend our congratulations to the Party, State and Nation of Vietnam as well as Monks and followers of Buddhism for perfect organization of such a magnificent event to the cause of peace, friendship and fraternity between all nations and people in the world.
